About the Position:

As a Pharmacist you’ll play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our local community. This is more than just a dispensing role, it’s an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, provide personalised health advice, and contribute to a collaborative healthcare environment. The pharmacy specialises in compounding medication and nursing home services, offering a unique opportunity to develop skills across personalised pharmacy care, compounding, and aged care medication management. Full training and support are provided.

Community pharmacy care:

  • Spend approximately 50% of your daily shift in the dispensary, including customer service, prescription checking, and providing personalised advice.
  • Providing Pharmacist‑administered vaccinations in line with state legislation
  • Delivering UTI assessment and prescribing services under approved pharmacy programs
  • Engaging patients in preventative healthcare and early intervention services

Nursing home & aged care services:

  • Spend the remaining 50% of your shift dispensing for nursing homes and supporting aged care medication supply.
  • Read and interpret medication charts and attend to chart changes as required.
  • Use the Bestmed system for chart management
  • Trading hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday: 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Sunday and Public Holidays: closed

 

To Be Successful In This Role:

  • General registration as a pharmacist with AHPRA
  • 1 year of experience working in an Australian community pharmacy.
  • Valid work rights for Australia, allowing you to work full-time hours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational and customer service abilities
  • Vaccination accreditation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment
  • Vaccination certificate
