Our client is located a 1.5-hour drive from Gladstone, and a 30-minute drive from Hidden Valley and Yeppoon.

Salary and benefits:

  • Weekday hourly rate: $45 – Negotiable
  • Hourly rate on weekends: $50 on Saturday and $55 on Sunday – Negotiable
  • Hourly rate on public holidays: $75

About the position:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Pharmacist in Charge to join a community-based pharmacy that offers an excellent work-life balance. This opportunity operates under forward pharmacy workflow procedures and has a strong focus on delivering professional services. Working as part of an experienced team, you will be responsible for dispensing and checking scripts using the FRED system; managing the dispensary, including ordering, inventory management and supervising staff; the day-to-day running of the store; consulting with customers on medication, health and lifestyle; assisting store front team members in handling customer inqueries, helping to build health knowledge and delivering professional services. Be part of a great pharmacy team —1 Pharmacist, 2 Dispense Technicians and 20 Pharmacy Assistants— focused on reaching excellent results and overall customer service.

  • Scripts per day: 250
  • Dispense: FRED
  • Days required: 5 days for full-time, and 3 to 4 days for part-time
  • Trading hours: Monday to Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Thursday from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
  • DAA: Yes. Packing off-site
  • Nursing home: Yes, 3
  • Vaccination services: Yes

To be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor or Master’s in Pharmacy
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as time management skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Strong customer service and community focus
  • A genuine desire to build and maintain a strong rapport with the community
  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Vaccination qualified
