The town’s main attraction is the town’s marine fossil museum – which vividly reminds the visitor that over 100 million years ago this vast, flat area was an inland sea teeming with primitive wildlife. Located halfway between Townsville and Mount Isa, which is essentially a service center for the surrounding sheep and beef pastoral community. The town has an airport so the pharmacist can fly direct from Townsville.

Salary and Benefits:

About The Position:
This is a great opportunity to further develop your skills and join a community-based pharmacy that offers an excellent work-life balance. Working as a part of a team you will be responsible for the day-to-day tuning of the dispensary, counseling customers, stock ordering, and control. You will work with a part-time pharmacy assistant. This is a sole pharmacist position.

  • Dispense and POS: Aquarius
  • 41 hours per week

  • Webster packing; 10
  • Trading hours: Monday to Friday: 9 am to 6 pm – 1-hour lunch break, Saturday: 9 am to 12:00 pm. Sunday: closed

Your Duties:

  • Prepare, dispense and supply medications
  • Liaise with other medical professionals
  • Attending to patient inquiries and requests
  • Overseeing the workflow of the store and day-to-day procedures
  • Managing the overall Dispensary and its operation
  • Counselling customers about medications

To Be Successful In This Role:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills​
