General Manager of Retail and Operations
We are currently looking for a General Manager to oversee three different pharmacies in ACT. This role is critical to ensure the long-term sustainable success of the pharmacies and its operations, prioritizing the provision of exceptional customer care that consequently enables the development of long-term relationships with customers.
This position reports to the pharmacy owners.
Our ideal manager will possess:
– Previous management experience preferably with multiple locations
– Ability to motivate team members and provide effective leadership
– Excellent understanding of business principles combined with management skills
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Degree qualification in Business or related discipline highly regarded
– Proven ability to relate to people at all levels
– Innovative, proactive, and energetic traits
– Credibility with pharmacy employees and coaching and guiding skills.
– Team builder
– Minimum Certificate II in Community Pharmacy (WRP20102 or SIR20107) or completion of the training module “Support the sale of Pharmacy and Pharmacist Only Medicines” (if required to provide advice and/or process sales on scheduled medicines.
Some of your responsibilities include:
– Recruitment and selection of employees
– Staff induction/ training and performance monitoring
– Ensuring that all stores achieve or exceed established sales and profitability targets
– Provide leadership and promote and maintain the values and culture of the company
– Manage and oversee the operations of the pharmacies
– Monitor the implementation of marketing strategies
– Contribute to the strategic and business planning as required
– Ensure the stores comply with relevant Acts, regulations, legal requirements, and ethical standards
